The Hand of Glory: Drummer verlässt Band

THE HAND OF GLORY sind auf Drummersuche. Anbei ein Statement von Ex-Drummer Randall.

Well I have to say I never thought I’d be saying goodbye to THOG. I always figured we’d all go down with the rest of the world before that happened! I guess it’s just time to face my reality and move on with my own adventures. If I were not leaving because of my work situation, I would have to step back from this band anyway, as I simply cannot offer the same dedication that the other guys are giving. Nor can I give this band my full attention anymore, which it truly deserves.

I may come back around later on if my life has been sorted out; so whether I come back behind the kit or simply as another part of THOG’s road party, I’ll be supporting this band just like always until the end. Do I have any regrets? Only the fact that I must leave. We’ve shared the stage with so many awesome bands from small-town locals to big nation-wide acts. I must say though that my best experiences have come from playing with some of the coolest and most dedicated local German bands.

Some of these guys deserve so much more credit than most big label bands out there. They are great live, they work their asses off for NO money or respect, they sleep on the side of the road on tour, only to play in front of 13 people because the promoters didn’t wanna do their fuckin job! But they go out there every week and do it all over again! Those are the musicians I respect; not the big label homos who don’t even know how to tune or set up their own equipment!

So I say to you guys: Keep fighting and pushing, hopefully the mindless masses will finally see what you’re worth! To all the fans and friends of THOG family (a huge family), I have to say sorry for leaving and do not feel abandoned. This band will carry on as it always has in the past and will continue to tear down stages everywhere it goes, as long as you will support it. I truly appreciate all of you who came out to watch us, even in a country where just paying to drive somewhere is expensive; but you still came out to rock out with us; you guys are why we do this stuff! And last, I say to my bro’s in THOG: Keep driving on and smashing peoples’ face, including those of the bands who treated us like shit over the years. (you fuckers know who you are)

Don’t forget my stance on the high-school cliche “metal heads” and keep giving them reasons to hate us! Fuck em. No matter how things go over the next year I hope you guys will remember the ground we’ve stood on for so long that’s kept us alive: “WE MUST MOVE FORWARD.”
